Welcome to VerseToVerse. These Terms of Service govern your use of the VerseToVerse mobile application and related services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the VerseToVerse mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the App.

2. User Accounts

You may be required to create an account to access certain features of the App. When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Premium Subscription

VerseToVerse offers a Premium subscription that provides access to additional features, content, and functionality, which may include additional Bible translations, audiobook content, offline downloads, AI features, and other premium content. Subscription options may include monthly or yearly billing cycles. By subscribing to Premium, you agree to the current pricing and billing terms displayed within the App at the time of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

4. Payments

All payments for Premium subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. VerseToVerse does not directly process or store your payment information. All billing, payment processing, and refund handling for subscriptions is managed by the respective app store provider.

5. Refunds

Refunds for Premium subscriptions are subject to the refund policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. VerseToVerse does not issue direct refunds for subscription purchases. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact the applicable app store provider. In certain jurisdictions, statutory consumer rights may apply and are not affected by these Terms.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for all content you create, including notes, highlights, bookmarks, and any other user-generated content. You agree not to use the App to store or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.

7. Appropriate Use

You agree to use the App in a respectful and appropriate manner. You will not use the App to harass, abuse, threaten, or impersonate any person or entity. You will not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App, other accounts, or computer systems or networks connected to the App. If community features are added in the future, you agree to interact respectfully with other users.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and original content, is the intellectual property of VerseToVerse and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written consent.

9. Bible Translations

Bible translations available within the App remain the intellectual property of their respective publishers and copyright holders. VerseToVerse only provides translations that are in the public domain, freely distributed, or properly licensed for use within the App. The King James Version (KJV) is in the public domain in most countries. Additional translations may be added in the future, subject to appropriate licensing agreements. All trademarks and copyrights associated with Bible translations are the property of their respective owners.

10. Audiobook Content

Audiobook recordings available within the App, including narration and audio production, are provided under applicable licensing agreements or are in the public domain. VerseToVerse respects the intellectual property rights of content creators and publishers. You may not copy, redistribute, or broadcast audiobook content from the App without permission from the respective copyright holders. Future audiobook content will be added in accordance with applicable licensing agreements.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VerseToVerse and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the App.

12. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. VerseToVerse does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. You use the App at your own risk.

13. Service Availability

VerseToVerse strives to maintain high availability of the App but does not guarantee that the App will be available at all times. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues. Some features, including offline reading and listening, may be available without an internet connection, subject to the content you have previously accessed or downloaded.

14. Updates

VerseToVerse may update, modify, or enhance the App and its features at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the App, applicable laws, or our policies. Continued use of the App after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Upon account deletion, your personal data, including notes, highlights, saved verses, bookmarks, and reading progress, may be permanently removed. VerseToVerse reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved through the appropriate legal channels in the applicable jurisdiction.
